Fixes and changes

Fixed a bug that displayed incorrect minerals info about an asteroid/comet scanned by another squadron member.

Redesigned HUD to make it more readable.

Added animated speedometer.
Now the ship's speed is displayed not only as numbers at the bottom of the screen, but also as an animated speedometer above.

Added slider for setting the Cruising Speed.
Setting and moving at cruising speed is possible by activating the Cruising Speed toggle.
Each ship class has its own minimum speed. After turning off the toggle, the ship's speed works as before - after pressing Space bar.


Lock Target toggle restored.
To me, this toggle seemed of little use (actually, completely useless), but there was a request to restore it - so, the Lock Target toggle is back on the screen. May it serve you well! :)

Onboard radio added.
This is an experimental feature, currently in testing phase.

Added an animation informing about FTL jump.

The entire interactive HUD has been redesigned to make it more readable. Now it looks like this:


Around the game

There are some new features again – new speedometer is mainly a cool visual effect. Now, when you're flying your Falcon/Shade (the fastest ship in the game), looking at the speedometer needle makes you feel like you're in a racing car :)

The ability to set Cruising Speed primarily ensures that Shields are always active. It also offers interesting combat possibilities – if player has a bit of practice and knows how to maneuver this slider, they can gain a significant advantage (especially for light ships).

Onboard radio – that's my favorite :) Currently, there are only a few stations (Indy, there's Heavy Metal Lokan Station for you! :D), but I've also created an option that makes it easy to add more. So, if you want your favorite internet radio station in UU, just make sure the station provides streaming links somewhere, and – crucially – that it uses AAC-HE 32kb settings (probably the most efficient coding format and bitrate).
If you already make sure that such settings are available - just let me know.

Thank you for your ideas (Indy, CalvaX - thanks for sharing them so many times!), especially the completely innovative ones that aren't found in games like this – some of them really intrigued me and I'll want to implement them into UU. I don't deny that this is something that gives me additional motivation to work on the game.
It allows me to look at the game from a different perspective, to consider what UU could become in the future. I must admit that I really like these considerations... :D
Please remember that the best chance of being implemented is one that requires minimal testing, well-described (the more detail, the better), so I can visualize it and form a plan of action in my head :) I'm waiting for more... :)

Half a year has passed since game's release in late April, but for me it's still only the beginning of (hopefully a long and interesting) journey. Those who have been with the game since that time know how much we've accomplished together.
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this project, whether in one way or another. Every contribution was/is important. Without you, it would be much harder (if not impossible) for UU to become what it is today – a game that has its problems (of course), but a stable game, where you can spend some nice time.

It's great to see you still in Unending Universe! :)
